The Crown Prince claims territorial waters around Pavia’s land territory in a world first decree, clarifying the operational area of the coast guard.
A section of water covering 200 metres around every Pavian landmass, except on the Lyrean Sea, now forms part of the country’s territory and is the exclusive operational zone of the coast guard.
Because Pavia has so many islands, the area of water claimed is quite substantial and covers the entire Merilde Bay.
The Crown Prince, BritishWanderer II, has committed to fair negotiations with neighbouring countries should they wish to exercise their right to claim territorial waters that may conflict with those of Pavia.

To make these areas clear, the Pavian Government will construct a set of buoys throughout the territorial waters.
An order was also given to construct fortified coast guard stations in the Quiet Isle National Park, the Lucassio Isles, San Selano and the Oulles.
“With this expansion of the operational zone of our Coast Guard, and the reinforcement of our maritime domain, our borders and territories will be safer, stronger, and more secure”, the Crown Prince said.
The construction projects are understood to be ongoing over the coming months.
